Synnöve Mork works mainly with textiles and loves stripes and squares. This time she has transferred the patterned surfaces to ceramic works in collaboration with Paradisverkstaden. The shapes are classical, both cast and turned and intended as functional objects. The swarm, the contrasts and the play with the different techniques have resulted in a number of patterned shapes "From Skymning to Mork". Broad brushstrokes, wire-thin lines and airbrushing in sooty sections. The raw meets the more refined, an idea of the hours between dusk and dawn. When the tones blur and everything becomes graphic horizon lines, shadows and dimensions.Synnöve almost always works with models in paper, scale shapes to find the right measure and scale of the patterns. The collaboration with Familjen Paradis has given her insight into the complexity of clay and experience in applying patterns to the vessels.
